The driver of a container truck was injured after the hatch cover of a ship fell on the truck at the Colombo Port this morning.
According to reports, the accident occurred while carrying out operations at the Jayabahalu Terminal early this morning (July 20).
The accident had taken place when the hatch cover of the ship was accidentally released from the Overhead Gantry Crane which was lifting the hatch cover from the ship.
The driver of the container truck who sustained injuries in the accident has been hospitalized. (NewsWire)
