Several acting ministers have been appointed to overlook ministries in the absence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe who will visit India on an official state visit on July 21, 2023.
President Wickremesinghe is set to undertake a 2-day official state visit to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This will be President Wickremesinghe’s first visit to India since assuming duties as the President of Sri Lanka.
The following appointments have been made in the absence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe:
- State Minister Shehan Semasinghe – Minister of Finance
- State Minister Premitha Bandara Tennakoon – Minister of Defence
- State Minister Dilum Amunugama – Minister of Investment Promotion
- State Minister Kanaka Herath – Minister of Technology
- State Minister Anupa Pasqual – Minister of Women, Children Affairs, & Social Empowerment (NewsWire)
