The Education Ministry has officially released the school calendar for the second and third terms of 2023, along with important examination dates.
- The school holidays will be observed from August 18 to August 27.
- Classes will commence from August 28 and continue until October 27.
Grade Five Scholarship Examination: This important examination is scheduled for October 15 (Sunday).
- School will begin on October 30 and extend until November 24.
- School holidays from November 25 to December 31.
GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination: The A/L examination is scheduled to take place between November 27 and December 21.
Second Phase: The final phase of the third school term will commence on January 1, 2024, and conclude on February 16.
The Education Ministry has already communicated this information through an official circular to various education authorities, including Provincial Chief Secretaries, Provincial Education Secretaries, Provincial Education Directors, Zonal Education Directors, all Pirivenas, and all government and government-assisted private schools.
