A protest was held against Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) over alleged corrupt practices.
The protest was staged against the alleged misuse of the SLC board’s money for various persons, including actors and actresses, to travel to Australia for the 2022 Cricket World Cup.
The protesters have accused the SLC administration of engaging in financial malpractices benefiting themselves.
The Opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), too filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) recently against the alleged financial malpractice of the SLC related to the 2022 Cricket World Cup.
