Eight suspects have been arrested following a raid conducted on a brothel operated under the guise of an Ayurvedic Spa in Ratmalana.
The Police stated that the brothel was raided yesterday by officers attached to the Mount Lavinia Division Crimes Investigation Unit based on a tip-off.
The suspects, 08 women, included the suspected manager of the brothel and the women who had aided its services.
The arrested group includes women aged between 24 – 53 years and residents of Panadura, Padaviya, Narampanawa, Parantha, Ketabulawa, Thambuththegama, Wanathawilluwa, and Elpitiya.
The women have been handed over to the Mount Lavinia Police Station for investigations. (NewsWire)
