A group of 08 persons have been arrested for allegedly attempting to forcibly enter the premises of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
According to reports, a tense situation was reported after the group from the Joint Association of Leasing and Debt Instalment Payers had attempted to enter the bank.
The group had attempted to allegedly forcibly enter the Central Bank to demand concessions for leasing facilities.
The Police stated that the eight persons have been arrested by the Fort Police. (NewsWire)
