An individual has died in a fire that broke out in the warehouse of a chemical factory in Kandana this morning.
According to the Police, the deceased has been identified as an employee of the factory and a 50-year-old resident of Ganemulla.
Investigations have revealed that the Accountant of the factory had been inside the warehouse at the time the fire broke out and had died in the incident.
The Police further stated that measures are underway to douse the fire with the assistance of the Gampaha and Negombo fire brigades, and the Sri Lanka Navy.
The cause of the fire is unknown and the Kandana Police is conducting investigations. (NewsWire)
