Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced two overseas players’ replacements in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) tournament.
Accordingly, Tim Seifert (New Zealand) and Chad Bowes (New Zealand) from the Galle Titans team are departing due to national duties.
SLC has announced Najibullah Zadran (Afghanistan) and Liton Das (Bangladesh) as their replacements.
The Galle Titans will face Colombo Strikers in a knockout clash on Tuesday (Aug.15) where the winner will join the final four of the LPL.
The winner will join Dambulla Aura, B-Love Kandy and the Jaffna Kings in the final four of the tournament.
Dambulla Aura and B- Love Kandy will top the league stage of LPL and they will play the Qualifier 1.
The team that wins the clash between Galle Titans and the Colombo Strikers tomorrow will join the Jaffna Kings in the eliminator.
If play is called off due to rain tomorrow, then the Colombo Strikers and Galle Titans will qualify, while the Jaffna Kings will be eliminated. (NewsWire)
