The Overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), has decreased to 4% in August 2023.
According to the Department of Census and Statistics, it is a decrease from the 6.3% reported in July this year.
Food-Inflation dipped to -4.8% in August from the -1.4% reported in July, while Non-Food-Inflation has also decreased to 8.7% in August from the 10.5% reported in July.
