EducationUSA University Fair on 05th September

The EducationUSA Fair, a U.S. university fair with representatives of thirteen U.S. colleges and universities, will be held on Tuesday, September 05, the U.S. Embassy in Colombo announced. 

According to the U.S. Embassy, the U.S. university fair will be held by EducationUSA at the United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission, in partnership with the Embassy. 

The first in-person U.S.-sponsored higher education fair in Sri Lanka since 2019 will take place at the Lotus Hall of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. 

A pre-fair information session on “Applying for Graduate Studies in the U.S.” will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at the Lavender Hall at BMICH.

This year’s EducationUSA Fair will provide an opportunity for students, parents, and school administrators to interact with admissions officers from participating U.S. colleges and universities to learn about academic programs, admission procedures, and scholarship and financial aid options. An EducationUSA advisor will also offer information on the programs and services that will help you with your application process to U.S. colleges and universities and Fulbright Commission staff will share information about Fulbright scholarships available for Sri Lankan citizens. U.S. Embassy consular officers will be on hand with information about student visas.   

The following schools will be represented at the Fair:  Wesleyan College, Macon, Georgia; Washington State University, Pullman,  Washington; University of Michigan, Flint, Michigan; University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah; Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago, Illinois; State University of New York at Albany, New York; State University of New York College at Oswego, New York; Pacific Oaks College, Pasadena, California; Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia; Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts; Iowa State University of Science and Technology, Ames, Iowa;  Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Indiana; and  Cascadia College, Bothell, Washington.
