The body of a woman has been recovered from a lodge in the Neralu Uyana area in Thalangama today.
The Police Media Unit told NewsWire, that the identity of the woman, who is reported to have died in a suspicious manner, is yet to be ascertained.
The Police stated that, however, a National Identity Card (NIC) found in the possession of the woman reveals that she was born in 1973.
The Police Media Unit further stated that no suspects have been identified with regard to the death, while the Thalangama Police is conducting investigations.
However, according to media reports, the woman is reportedly a psychiatrist and was found dead with her throat slit. (NewsWire)
