A woman has been injured in a shooting reported inside a bus in Ambalantota at around 02.00 p.m. today.
The Police Media Unit told NewsWire that the woman was reportedly shot after the suspect had boarded the bus she was travelling in.
Two gunmen on a motorcycle had obstructed the bus, boarded the bus and thereafter, shot the woman.
The Police further stated that the incident had occurred in the Madayamalalla area in Ambalantota.
The injured woman has been admitted to the Hambantota hospital. (NewsWire)
