Train services on the coastal line have been delayed due to the derailment of a train, the Railway Department said.
The department stated that the Moratuwa bound train from Mahawa had derailed in Colpetty this morning.
Sri Lanka Railways stated that priority has been given to Colombo – bound trains due to the derailment.
The Railway department further stated that commuters leaving Colombo may face delays as a result.
The department has urged commuters leaving Colombo to use alternate means of transport. (NewsWire)
