In September 2023, Sri Lanka saw a slight dip in workers’ remittances, with official data reporting inflows of USD 482.4 million, down from USD 499.2 million in August 2023.
Nevertheless, the cumulative total for January-September 2023 showed positive growth, reaching USD 4,345.1 million. This marks a significant increase of 68.8% compared to the same period in 2022.
