President Ranil Wickremesinghe will leave for China next week to participate in the conference to mark the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
According to reports, President Wickremesinghe will attend the conference in China on 17 and 18 October 2023.
He is also scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping for discussions during his visit.
The Belt and Road Initiative, known within China as the One Belt One Road, is a global infrastructure development strategy adopted by the Chinese government in 2013 to invest in more than 150 countries and international organizations. (NewsWire)
