Mr. Sabry Bahaudeen, Director – Leisure Cluster of Expolanka Holdings PLC / Classic Travel was elected as the President of the IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka (IAASL) at the 35th Annual General Meeting of the IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka (IAASL).
An old boy of Royal College, Colombo, Bahaudeen counts more than 25 years of experience in the travel trade. He is on the Committee of Management of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and currently sits on the governing board of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
The Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday, 05th of October 2023, at the Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom, Bangkok, Thailand with a participation of 106 IAASL accredited Agents.
The IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka is a Member of the ‘One Industry One Voice’ initiative taken among the travel and tourism industry, was formed in 1988 and is an affiliated Association of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, representing the interests of 129 of the Sri Lankan Travel Agencies accredited to the International Air Transport Association located throughout Sri Lanka.
