Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in most provinces of Sri Lanka after 01.00 p.m. today, the Department of Meteorology stated.
Fairly heavy showers of about 50 mm are likely at some places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces in the morning.
Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Galle via Colombo.
Winds will be variable in the direction of the sea areas around the island and wind speed will be 20- 30 kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight. Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers. (NewsWire)
