A Gazette notification has been issued on the criteria for investors interested in conducting duty-free retail business operations or duty-free shopping mall operations at the Colombo Port City.
Dated October 25, 2023, the Gazette has been issued by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Minister of Investment Promotion.
As per the Gazette, an investor is required to provide funding of a minimum of USD 5 million to run a duty-free retail business and have international-level experience in duty-free trade operations. invest
Furthermore, investors interested in running a duty-free shopping mall business at the Colombo Port City, are required to provide funding of at least USD 7 million.
