Four individuals, including a woman, have been apprehended over the shooting reported at a nightclub in Kiribathgoda on Sunday morning (Dec 17).
The incident was reported around 02.00 am on Sunday, while the shooter and friends had fled the area in a car.
Reports state that an intoxicated individual had gotten into a brawl over a woman, and had fired four gunshots inside the nightclub and two gunshots outside.
No injuries or casualties or property damage were reported in the shooting.
The Ragama Police had arrested the group aged between 20 to 25 years, while they had also seized 5200 mg of heroin from their possession.
The suspects who are residents of Ragama and Modera, have been detained for questioning after being produced before the Welisara Magistrate’s Court. (NewsWire)
