The United National Party (UNP) led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe is set to hold a series of rallies in anticipation of the Presidential Election expected to be held next year.
According to Lankadeepa, the UNP will hold a series of election-related rallies from January 19, 2024.
The party has decided to hold the key public rally in Colombo initially, after which several other rallies will be held in other parts of the country.
It is reported that President Ranil Wickremesinghe has informed the UNP that the appointment of members to the party’s Working Committee and other relevant committees will be made by January next year. (NewsWire)
