Another 999 suspects have been apprehended in the islandwide special operation ‘Yukthiya’ carried out by the Police Special Task Force (STF).
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the arrests were made during multiple raids conducted yesterday until 12.30 am today.
During the raids, the Police recovered 453g of heroin, 306g of ICE, 940g of cocaine, and 57 kilos of Cannabis.
Among the arrested suspects, detention orders have been obtained against 31 suspects, while 26 suspects addicted to narcotics have been sent for rehabilitation. (NewsWire)
