The Overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI), has increased to 4.2% in December 2023.
According to the Department of Census and Statistics, it is an increase from the 2.8% recorded in November 2023.
Food inflation has also increased to 1.6% in December 2023, compared to the -2.2% reported in November.
However, non-food inflation has dropped to 6.3% in December 2023, compared to the 7.1% recorded in November.
