Another 836 suspects have been apprehended during the islandwide special operation ‘Yukthiya’ carried out by the Police Special Task Force (STF).
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the arrests were made during multiple raids carried out yesterday until 12.30 am today.
The Police also recovered 142g of heroin, 95g of ICE, and 1650 narcotic pills during the raids.
Among the arrested suspects, detention orders have been obtained against six, while one suspect addicted to narcotics has been transferred to a rehabilitation centre.
