Speaker of the Parliament, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena today (Jan 31) endorsed the certificate on two Bills which were passed in Parliament recently.
The endorsed bills are the Recognition and Enforcement of International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation Bill and the Notaries (Amendment) Bill.
Accordingly, the said Bills will come into effect as the Recognition and Enforcement of International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation Act No.5 of 2024 and the Notaries (Amendment) Act No.6 of 2024. (NewsWire)
