Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has announced that the government has decided to provide an afternoon meal for children in primary grades of government schools, the Lankadeepa reports.
The Minister has said that all children in primary grades will be provided with lunch starting March this year.
The Government is expected to spend around Rs. 16 billion for this project and expected costs per child per day is estimated to be around Rs. 110, the Minster further said. (NewsWire)
