A suspect has been arrested in connection with the torching of President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s personal residence in Colombo during the July 9th unrest last year.
Police media spokesperson DIG Nihal Thalduwa said that the 30-year-old suspect is a resident Kotadeniyawa.
The police spokesperson further revealed that the suspect has been working as a laborer in a private company in Colombo and was apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday (1) (NewsWire)
