A 34-year-old suspect has been arrested for trying to extort money from a bus driver in Kottawa on Friday (2).
Police say that the extortion attempt has been made with the direction of a criminal living abroad.
The suspect has been apprehended by the driver and the conductor of the bus after he had taken a photo of the driver to be sent to the suspect aboard.
Colombo Crimes Division has arrested the suspect and are conducting further investigations (NewsWire)
