Mainly fair weather will prevail over most parts of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and the Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail in the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph. Wind speed may increase up to 45-50 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota and from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam.
