Two guests at a DJ party held at Colombo Lotus Tower have died after falling ill during the event on Friday (Mar 08), it was reported.
According to Daily News, the deceased are identified as a 27-year-old woman from Mulleriyawa and a 22-year-old man from Dehiwala.
The Police said the two individuals had fallen ill during the party and had been rushed to the Colombo National Hospital, where they had died after admission.
Even though the cause of death is yet to be ascertained, it is presumed that the two victims had consumed drinks containing narcotics.
The Maligakanda Magistrate has conducted the preliminary Magistrate’s examinations on the two deaths.
The Maradana Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
