The Police Children & Women Bureau has launched a probe into the alleged sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl inside a salon in Anuradhapura.
It is reported that the minor had been sexually abused on multiple occassions at the Salon.
Two individuals including the main barber were arrested on suspicion yesterday in connection to the incident.
The suspects were remanded until March 28 after being produced before the Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate.
Information had come to light after the Police had launched a probe based on a tip-off and had made inquiries from the victim.
Revealing that she had been sexually abused inside a room located behind the barber’s shop, the victim had named 11 other suspects who had also sexually abused her.
