Two passengers were arrested at the Katunayake Airport on Tuesday for attempting to smuggle in gold jewellery worth Rs. 100 million.
According to Sri Lanka Customs, the two passengers were found to be in possession of gold jewellery weighing around 5 kilos.
The suspects had arrived at the Katunayake Airport from Dubai, UAE early last morning.
The two suspects have been identified as residents of Ambalangoda and Jaffna. (NewsWire)
