Four children have died after drowning while bathing in the Ma-Oya in the Walakumbura area in Alawwa today.
According to the Police, the children were part of a group of five, while one child has been rescued and is receiving treatment at the Kurunegala hospital.
The deceased children are aged 14 and are residents of Alawwa and Polgahawela.
The Alawwa Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
