The funeral of the late former UNP politician Palitha Thewarapperuma was held in Mathugama in Kalutara today.
Following religious observances, Palitha Thewarapperuma was laid to rest at the grave that he built at his residence while he was alive.
Large crowds were seen visiting the late politician’s residence today to pay their last respects.
Palitha Thewarapperuma passed away on Tuesday (Apr 16) after being electrocuted while working in his estate. He was 64 years old at the time of his demise. (Newswire)
