In the aftermath of a catastrophic accident at the Fox Hill Supercross event in Diyatalawa, Sri Lanka, police have arrested two drivers who were involved in the crash that resulted in the deaths of seven people, including four race officials and spectators, one of whom was an eight-year-old girl.

The incident, which also left at least 18 others injured, occurred during the race organized by the Sri Lankan Army on Sunday.

Local authorities confirmed that the two drivers, currently receiving medical treatment in hospital, were taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation into the accident.
