Renowned Sinhala lecturer and social activist Upul Shantha Sannasgala was apprehended by Kandana police following allegations of financial misconduct.
The arrest stems from accusations by an individual who claims Sannasgala failed to deliver Rs 1 million reportedly obtained from him.
