Over 5 kilos of Kush cannabis worth Rs. 50 million has been seized at the Katunayake Airport.
The Police said the stock of narcotics had been smuggled into Sri Lanka by a person arriving from Thailand last night.
The suspect has been identified as a 32-year-old resident of Homagama, employed as a dancer at a nightclub.
He is reported to have smuggled in the stock of kush cannabis, packed in 36 parcels, by concealing it in his luggage.
The Police Narcotics Bureau officials have arrested the suspect and are conducting investigations into the incident. (Newswire)
