In the first four months of 2024, foreign remittances surged past the $2 billion mark, with US$ 2.079 billion recorded between January and April, Ministry of Labour and Foreign Employment announced.
In April 2024 alone, foreign remittances reached US$ 543.8 million, marking a 19.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Compared to the first four months of last year, the amount of foreign remittances sent by expatriate workers in the same period this year has seen an 11.4% increase. (NewsWire)
