The Department of Project Management and Supervision has taken steps to introduce a “Result-Based Management” system to improve efficiency and accountability within the public sector.
This initiative has been developed in collaboration with line ministries and focuses on the 10 ministries with the highest budget allocations and their respective institutions.
The newly prepared Ministerial Result Frameworks are designed to ensure the timely achievement of development goals and the realization of expected benefits, adhering to the responsibilities of each ministry.
Accordingly, a proposal tabled by the President was approved by the Cabinet to transfer the responsibility of achieving these goals to the secretaries of the relevant line ministries. (Newswire)
