The National Trade Union Coordination Centre will not support any strike action until National People’s Power (NPP) Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake is elected President, the Centre’s Convenor Wasantha Samarasinghe said.
“The National Trade Union Coordination Centre decided it will not support or lead any strike action until Anura Dissanayake becomes President in the next election,” Samarasinghe announced at an NPP rally in Dambulla.
Samarasinghe criticized the Government for its inability to resolve salary issues faced by state sector employees and said that his party is ready to topple the current government. (Newswire)
