Former Minister Vijith Wijayamuni Soysa has announced his support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming Presidential Election. Soysa, a former member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), previously contested the Parliamentary election under the banner of the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) led by Sajith Premadasa.
Despite his efforts, he was unable to secure a seat in Parliament.
