An individual has been injured in a shooting reported in the Seeduwa area at around 10.00 am today.
The Police said a team of Police officers had visited the area on information that an individual was behaving in an unruly manner near a few houses.
As the officers had attempted to arrest him, the man had attacked a Police officer with a knife.
The Police officers who had acted immediately had shot the individual below his knee, in a bid to control him.
The Police said the injured individual has been admitted to the Seeduwa Hospital.
