The Opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and the United National Party (UNP) have held discussions today on establishing power in local councils following the 2025 Local Government Elections.
According to a joint statement issued by the SJB and UNP, a special discussion was held on the policies related to the matter.
The statement further says that a common consensus was reached to establish power in local councils with the support of other opposition political parties.
The meeting was held at the Office of the Opposition Leader, attended by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa. (Newswire)
