Five passengers have been arrested with 7.15 kilos of Kush cannabis at the Katunayake Airport.
According to the Police, the suspects had arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday.
It is reported that they had purchased the narcotics in Thailand, arrived in Bangalore, India, and from there flew to the Katunayake Airport.
The suspects have been identified as residents of Colombo 15, Colombo 02, and Dematagoda.
The Police Narcotics Bureau Airport Unit is conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
