Thoduwawa Police have uncovered a drug trafficking network reportedly operated from Dubai, seizing Rs. 18 million in cash during the investigation.
Police say the cash was allegedly intended as payment to individuals responsible for transporting a drug consignment via sea.
Eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, and further investigations are underway.
