A fatal accident occurred early this morning (24) on the Colombo-Wellawaya main road in the Weliara area when a SLTB bus travelling from Batticaloa to Galle collided with the rear of a tipper truck.
The collision took place around 2.45 a.m., resulting in injuries to 12 passengers on the bus and the driver of the tipper. All injured were admitted to Tangalle Hospital.
One passenger, who was in critical condition, succumbed to injuries.
