A multi-vehicle accident reported in Nawala recently was caused due to the driver mistakenly pressing the accelerator instead of the brake, according to an eyewitness.
Video footage shows several vehicles, including two cars and a three-wheeler, damaged in the accident.
An eyewitness said the car had initially knocked down a school student on the pedestrian crossing, with the child having sustained serious injuries and being admitted to the hospital.
The eyewitness further said that, thereafter, the car had knocked over two motorcycles and crashed into his three–wheeler, which had toppled over, and had then proceeded to hit two more cars, before halting. (Newswire)
