- SriLankan Airlines’ New A330 to Perform Low Fly-Past over Colombo and Katunayake on 4 June
SriLankan Airlines’ new Airbus A330-200 is set to touch down in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, but not before treating plane spotters to a low fly-past over Colombo and Katunayake.
The aircraft, arriving on its delivery flight from Paris, will fly at an altitude of 1,500 feet along the Colombo shoreline between 8 to 9 am, visible from the southern end of Port City to Moratuwa, before returning to land at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
An additional fly-past over BIA will take place just before landing. This is an exciting opportunity for aviation enthusiasts and plane spotters to catch a first glimpse of the aircraft that will strengthen SriLankan Airlines’ fleet and support its long-haul and short-haul operations, connecting Sri Lanka to the world.
