Supplementary Medical Professionals have launched an Island-wide token strike since 08.00 am today over 05 key demands.

General Secretary of the Joint Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine (JCPSM), Chanaka Dharmawickrama, said the demands include delays in promotions and issues related to recruiting allied health graduates.

He further said that the activities of five medical services, including Laboratory services and the pharmacy sectors, have been disrupted due to the ongoing strike.
