A draft bill aimed at abolishing pensions for Members of Parliament is scheduled to be presented at an upcoming Cabinet meeting, according to Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Ananda Wijepala.
The Minister said the Bill has already been prepared by the legal draftsman and is expected to be tabled in Parliament next month.
He also said that the issuance of vehicle permits to MPs has been suspended. (Newswire)
