Tokyo Cement Company has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art combi-mill as a part of the expansion of its Trincomalee plant, built at an investment of USD 25 million.
The opening ceremony was held on June 5 with the participation of Industries Minister Sunil Handuneththi as the chief guest.
“As Sri Lanka moves rapidly toward industrial revival, the government prioritizes providing all necessary support to help achieve these national goals. The Ministry of Industries and Enterprise Development is committed to fostering innovation, improving access to capital, simplifying regulations, and creating an environment that listens to both industry stakeholders and local communities. I firmly believe that through strong public-private partnerships, this day stands as evidence of the progress we can achieve together,” the Minister said.
The event was attended by Eastern Province Governor Jayantha Lal Rathnasiri, officials representing the Japanese Embassy, and senior Tokyo Cement executives. (Newswire)
